Tag and Journal Page

Hello Friends and Followers hope your week is going well. We have  a lovely sunny day here after all the rain the last few days it is good to see the sun again. Thank you for calling in today.

At Tag Tuesday we have the theme Use your Scraps. It was chosen by Valerie and there is a really lovely prize to be won by one person who enters the challenge. If you go to Tag Tuesday you can read all about it and also see the great samples by Valerie and the beautiful entries so far.

The patterned background for this tag was handmade by a friend and on a birthday card she sent to me. I made a little patchwork out of scraps and some felt flowers from small pieces of felt left over from other things.

I will also enter this as my tag for Got Tag Thursday this week where Anything Goes.

Art Journal Journey has a very interesting theme this month. Jo chose Poetry in Motion but you can use a quote or saying as well as poetry.

I printed a pattern onto a 7x5 piece of card. The face I have had for a while in a folder and thought it matched the quote. I have stuck this on the wall to inspire me when crafting.

I haven't a lot of crafting time at the moment as we seem to be visiting the hospital most days to see my MIL who doesn't seem to be improving as yet. I decided to make lots of background pages for a journal and all I used were chalks and stencils. Then I sprayed them with very cheap hairspray to fix the chalk. Hope to find time to make them into something more interesting.

Have a great day

Love Chrissie xx

  3. Gorgeous tag and journal page, as always, love how you used the fabric squares. Hairspray is great as a fixative, and now you have lots of ready made backgrounds to play with. All the best for Mollie and especially for you and Vic as you seem to have to do all the work again! Hugs, Valerie

  11. Your MIL is in my thoughts, and I'm hoping for a speedy recovery. I understand how real life gets in the way of art. I hope things improve soon.

The tag is fabulous. I'm in total AWE. Of course, I also like the journal page you created for Jo's theme, too. It is lovely.

I have stencil envy. I think you have a great start to many backgrounds, especially since you are so good with digital, too. Cheap hairspray is the best fixative I know.

Hope your day is fabulous, dear. Just breathe and the rest will come naturally.

  16. I love your fabric patchwork - more great ways to make the most of scraps. And the Buddha tag is perfect for inspiration - those words are wonderful. Great to see you are finding ways to be highly productive even with limited time. Those backgrounds will definitely come in handy, and I didn't know about hairspray as a fixative - not sure I can stand the smell though.
